10 Easy Steps to the Perfect At-Home Manicure

There’s nothing like a manicure to add that perfect pop of color to highlight your impeccable sense of style. Unfortunately, we're all stuck inside and can't go to a salon. These 10 steps will help you get a relaxing, budget-friendly, salon-worthy manicure in the comfort of your own home.

Bonus: If you use Loud Lacquer, you will know you are using a toxic-free nail polish that is fast drying, long-wear, cruelty-free and vegan!

Step 1: Remove any old polish with nail polish remover. If nails are unpolished, a quick swipe of nail polish remover will clean the nails and prep for a smooth surface.

Step 2:  File nails into your preferred shape. Square with rounded corners is always a classic.

TIP: Skip pushing your cuticles back until you're in a hot shower. You don’t want wet nails right before you apply polish. Don’t worry, no one is judging your nail beds, Karen.

Step 3: Apply OMG Karen base coat and let dry for one minute. 

TIP: Do 10 squats while waiting, this will distract you from trying to check Instagram and ruining your base coat. Give yourself a pat on the back because you totally exercised today!

Step 4: Prep the polish by rolling the bottle between your palms. DO NOT SHAKE! Shaking will cause bubbles to form in the polish. Pick your favorite shade.

Step 5: Next, apply a thin coat of polish to your nails. Starting with one stroke down the center then one on each side. Then combine together. It's that easy!

Don't forget to cap the nail on your final coat. If using Loud Lacquer's Go To Black, you'll only need one coat ;) 

Step 6: Clean up any mistakes. Even with our super easy to use paddle brush, my stubby little fingers always seem to get one drop on the nub.

Let dry for one minute. 

Step 7: Now it’s time for So Fetch topcoat. Don’t skip it! This will protect your awesome color, add a glossy finish, and help it last! Don't forget to also cap the tips here as well. 

Step 8: NOW add cuticle oil to your cuticles. You're glossy, you're moisturized, you're nails are on point!

Tip: Add cuticle oil to your nails throughout the day to get long and beautiful nails. 

Step 9: Let them dry! I know... it's hard. But you DESERVE this time. And the good news is if you used Loud Lacquer it's fast-drying! And it's definitely less time than going to a salon, so just do it!
